The VDW, Messe Stuttgart, and Swissmem (Association of the Swiss Machine, Electrical, and Metal Industry) are bringing the successful concept of the established GrindingHub Stuttgart to the American market as organizers.

International grinding technology manufacturers want to serve the US market

The initiative for GrindingHub Americas once again came from the manufacturers. 'Renowned companies in the grinding technology sector, together with representatives from their US subsidiaries, have asked us to develop a trade fair concept for the American market based on the model of GrindingHub in Stuttgart. It should be manageable and focused on grinding technology. We are very pleased to meet this request with our proven partners Messe Stuttgart and Swissmem, as it also shows that companies place great trust in us,' reports Dr. Markus Heering, Managing Director of VDW. Roland Bleinroth, Managing Director of Messe Stuttgart, adds: 'America is one of the most dynamic industrial markets in the world. Together with our American trade fair partners, we are convinced that the new GrindingHub Americas will create the ideal platform for grinding technology and international collaboration in one of the most important markets worldwide.'

The exhibition spectrum includes the complete portfolio of grinding technology: from grinding machines and grinding tools to automation, measurement technology, digitalization, and sustainable production solutions. The event places a clear focus on innovations and the exchange between international market leaders and local experts, all gathered in one place. Technologies that increase productivity, reduce costs, and redefine precision are at the center of the new trade fair.

Cincinnati as an ideal location

The trade fair specifically targets decision-makers and purchasing personnel from forward-looking industries such as automotive, aerospace, defense, medical technology, and mechanical engineering. Cincinnati, in the heart of the Midwest industrial cluster, offers the ideal infrastructure and proximity to important production sites in the United States – especially for automotive and aerospace. 'In direct proximity to GE Aerospace and numerous automotive suppliers, GrindingHub Americas is perfectly positioned in Cincinnati. We can showcase the capabilities of the international industry to key customer sectors that can make a valuable contribution to the success and competitiveness of US industry,' explains Markus Heering regarding the choice of location.

First board meeting underscores the relevance of the new trade fair

In early November 2025, the first board meeting with leading companies in the grinding technology sector took place in Cincinnati. The participating companies and board members include Action SuperAbrasive, Anca, Norton Saint-Gobain, Rollomatic, Star SU LLC, Supertec Machinery, United Grinding North America, and Vollmer America. 'Industry experts agree: There needs to be a trade fair in America that specifically focuses on grinding technology and related processes. Strong partners have come together in the board to realize the first GrindingHub Americas 2027 in Cincinnati,' emphasizes board chairman Phil Kurtz. 'Our board will ensure that the trade fair provides manufacturers with a platform to present their innovative solutions to a professional audience that is specifically looking for process optimization.'

The GrindingHub Americas will take place from May 18 to 20, 2027, at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. With the claim 'Where precision meets progress,' the trade fair positions itself as an indispensable event for all who want to set new standards in grinding technology.
