High quality in the machining of hard-to-machine materials
"For our current new developments, we have strongly oriented ourselves to customer feedback. Our PANGU series therefore offers a contemporary solution approach for premium machining across a wide range of applications. The new PANGU grades show particular strengths mainly in the machining of hard-to-machine materials, such as superalloys and heat-resistant steel castings (Duplex) - process reliably and in perfect quality," says product management director Sandro Maaß.
"Through two novel coatings (TiAlSiN-PVD coating and AlTiCNO-CVD coating) - with an extremely smooth layer surface to minimize friction - we were able to significantly increase tool life." According to ZCC-CT Europe, the tools remain usable for longer - a real advantage in economically dynamic times when production must deliver particularly economical results.
Strengthening the premium business segment
Sandro Maaß explains the strategic background: "Due to the fact that we cover the entire value chain from ores to the coated indexable insert, we have always been able to offer very competitive products and solutions. This will continue to be the case. With the launch of the Pangu premium grades, we are now leveraging this quality advantage even more and demonstrating our capabilities like never before."
Further developments are to follow, Maaß continues: "Our product vision is far from over: In the long term, the product range in the premium sector should continue to grow steadily. An exciting chapter lies ahead of us!" With the introduction of these high-performance tools, ZCC Cutting Tools is strengthening the foundation for sustainable positioning as a quality provider for cutting technology in 2025.
