Still more precise, is that possible in such a short time? With the new RPT machines, Röders significantly enhances the achievable precision compared to the initial presentation of the RPT series two years ago. This particularly affects 5-axis applications.

Thus, it is not only basic data such as a position uncertainty of P < 1 µm that the new RPT machines shine with at EMO. In addition, workpieces feature surfaces produced in the shortest time in the single-digit nanometer range.
Röders presents 3 new machines at EMO. A smaller 5-axis machine, the RPT450DS, which, not least due to its compactness, offers particularly high precision. A robust clamping chuck on the 5-axis table ensures vibration-free machining even during roughing. Different spindles with a maximum HSK E40 allow for versatile applications. Particularly high surface qualities in steel below 10 nm with interesting machining times can be achieved with air-bearing spindles.
achieve.
The RPT600DSH is being introduced with a new variant for the rotary tilting unit for larger clamping chucks, such as UPC from Erowa. This machine is ideally suited for injection mold construction, especially when workpieces are wider than they are tall. This also applies to
numerous production applications, especially due to the wide selection of spindles, up to HSK A63 tool holders.
An even larger RPT800DSH is being showcased for the first time as a twin-spindle machine. Equipped with a main spindle running at 36,000 RPM and an HSK E50 interface, as well as an air-bearing spindle with 60,000 RPM, the machine can be used very universally and achieve surface finishes in steel in the single-digit nanometer range in a single setup.
All machines are, as is customary at Röders, live under cutting conditions. Thanks to the PREICTEMP technology, they remain zero-point stable and thus highly precise despite temperature fluctuations in the exhibition halls. "Those seeking the highest precision are in the right place at Röders."
Jürgen Röders, Managing Director of Röders GmbH, summarizes it in one sentence: "Hall 12, Stand C06 is definitely worth it!"
