The INDEX and TRAUB machine innovations and automation solutions presented there promise users high efficiency in production, ensuring competitiveness even in challenging times. Highlights among the machines include the TRAUB production lathe TNK40, a pure short-turning machine developed based on the TRAUB TNL32 compact long-short turning machine. Instead of a movable spindle head for long turning, the TNK40 features a fixed spindle head with a 40 mm bore. With its low-vibration and simple bar feed (e.g., via a short loader), the machine achieves greater overall stiffness than the long-turning execution, resulting in increased dynamics and component quality.

Also new is the long-short turning machine TNL12 lean. This cost-effective entry-level variant is configured with only one turret and one back unit. The driven guide bushing is adjustable but not programmable. Optional extensions are, of course, still possible.
Complete machining and automation define a trend across all user industries. INDEX demonstrates, using the example of the INDEX G200.2 and G320 turning-milling centers with the iXcenter robot cell, what a practical solution can look like.

A technological innovation is High Dynamic Turning, which INDEX has further developed into HDT 2.0. In this process, the adjustment angle of a turning tool is continuously adapted with the C-axis of a motor milling spindle. For HDT 2.0, INDEX has developed a new input mask that allows this process to be easily and efficiently programmed directly at the machine. This saves numerous tool changes, as very complex turning contours can be machined with just one tool.

On the other hand, INDEX presents a solution that also enables High Dynamic Turning on a turret and even on a multi-spindle lathe.

Furthermore, our experts on-site provide extensive information on all topics of the process chain 'Machining'. Come by!
