Boehlerit offers a wide selection of carbide grades with different grain sizes. In addition to the proven fine grain grade HB30F, two ultra-fine grain grades HB20UF and HB44UF are available. HB20UF is particularly suitable for machining composite materials as well as for HSC applications starting from 60 HRC. HB44UF is designed for round tools that machine hardened steels up to 62 HRC. A true highlight is the grade HB40T, specifically developed for rough machining of titanium. Titanium – known for its extreme strength and thermal load – requires a cutting material with exceptional toughness and wear resistance. HB40T delivers exactly that – and is perfectly suited as bar material for the production of robust shank tools. XS10 – The grade for diamond-coated tools
With XS10, Boehlerit has a carbide grade in its range that was specifically developed for diamond coating. Typical areas of application include precise graphite machining in mold making, the production of graphite electrodes, and printed circuit board processing in the electronics industry. However, XS10 also impresses with its service life when machining composite materials, non-ferrous metals, aluminum alloys, cast materials, or hardened steels. The grade XS10 is available from stock in diameters of 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, and 12 millimeters – optionally as sintered raw or ground to h6.
