DN Solutions, a manufacturer of machine tools from South Korea, presents the second generation of its NHP 6300 horizontal machining center. The new series impresses with significantly reduced non-productive times, increased spindle power, and optimized integration into automation systems.
A central development goal was the minimization of non-productive times: The acceleration and deceleration values of the spindle have been improved by 20% compared to the previous model. The indexing of the B-axis rotary table now occurs 35% faster, and the table rotation speed has more than doubled. This leads to noticeably shortened machining cycles and increased productivity.
Typical for the NHP series are the standard B-axis rotary table and the automatic pallet changer (APC). This equipment allows for four-sided machining in just one setup and supports uninterrupted production through alternating operation with two pallets. Tool change times have also been reduced by 30%, further lowering non-productive times. At the center of the machine is a high-speed spindle with efficient cooling of the spindle and bearings. The combination with modern thermal compensation keeps dimensional accuracy consistently high even under thermal load and long machining cycles – ideal for the precise machining of demanding workpieces.
The new NHP 6300 is fully automation-capable and can be seamlessly integrated into systems such as the Linear Pallet System (LPS). It supports 24/7 lights-out production through intelligent tool monitoring, predictive maintenance logic, and advanced process control to prevent errors. To optimize operational efficiency, an optional SFC container (Sludge-Free Coolant) can be integrated. This system automatically filters chips and sludge from the coolant, reduces maintenance effort, and significantly contributes to maximizing machine availability.
