Digital tool management for HK-MAT dispensing machines
The software solution from EVO for the HK-MAT dispensing machines from HAHN+KOLB paves the way from isolated solutions to holistic tool organization. All relevant information, from individual cutting tools to complete tools, is centrally bundled in a tool database. The latest generation of dispensing machines also does without a maintenance-intensive PC control while remaining fully smart: All functions are available via app on PCs, tablets, and smartphones instead of fixed screens. This gives users a central app with which they can view and control inventories from anywhere in the production facility and throughout the company. All common tool storage systems and lift systems can be connected. In the app for tablet and smartphone, the integrated camera serves as a barcode scanner – allowing the tool to be quickly and easily identified by tool number.
An external scanner can optionally be connected, further speeding up operation and expanding the functionality of the app. Additionally, the software offers optional interfaces for ERP systems and tool presetting devices. “The software solution is an example of the digital innovations we are developing with EVO – together, digitally, and customer-oriented,” says David Weber from HAHN+KOLB. “Always with the goal of not just delivering tools but creating solutions.”
