For the 30th anniversary of the partnership, WEILER has donated a conventional lathe of the type Praktikant VCD worth around 18,000 euros to the Regnitz workshops in Erlangen.
For about three decades, the family business from Emskirchen and Lebenshilfe Erlangen e.V., the sponsor of the Regnitz workshops, have been working together. Employees with disabilities manufacture high-quality components there, which are used worldwide in the lathes of the machine manufacturer. In addition to the donated machine, two other lathes from WEILER have been in operation at the facility, the oldest since 1995.
Lathe helps with professional development.

At the ceremonial handover of the machine in early June, workshop manager Matthias Laue was pleased with the new addition to the machine park. Managing director Kristian Gäbler also expressed his gratitude: 'This new lathe is a real step forward for us, with it we can better qualify people with disabilities for the general labor market. WEILER has been a very important partner for us for over twenty years.'

Workshops produce parts of high quality

The partnership between the industrial company and the Regnitz workshops is based on excellent work as well as mutual appreciation. Michael Eisler emphasized: 'The quality of the components is very high,' his brother Alexander C. Eisler added: 'We are extremely satisfied with the work of the Regnitz workshops.'
Both emphasized that they care about the support of Lebenshilfe.

'Inclusion is an important contribution to a society that is livable for all people,' Michael Eisler stated.

Aurelio Barcellona, group leader for industrial and electrical assembly, also emphasizes the importance of collaboration: 'WEILER has been an important customer for us for more than twenty years. Our employees identify with the product.'
Among other things, cable harnesses, control panels, feed protection covers, and bed connections are manufactured. Wiring of control elements is also part of the tasks. Employees from Erlangen regularly visit the plant in Mausdorf to experience the finished lathes with their components in action.
