IEF-Werner at automatica 2025

IEF-Werner will demonstrate how to design handling processes safely and economically at automatica in Munich (June 24 to 27) in Hall A5, Stand 204. The automation specialist presents components and systems that have proven successful with users. This includes a portal system with a belt drive axis.

IEF-Werner presents its portal system with the timing belt axis Module 115/25 in Munich. This allows for the safe handling of trays or small load carriers weighing up to 40 kilograms. Thanks to the bending and torsion-resistant base bodies of the modules, the automation specialist implements large spans for its customers with strokes of up to 6.5 meters. Even under high loads and large strokes, no additional support structures are required. Companies not only reduce their costs with this system – compared to alternative solutions, they also benefit from a significantly faster setup of the system.

A proven solution that many companies have successfully used for years is the flexibly designed servo press series aiPRESS. It is available in four sizes and can be integrated into both automated production lines and manual workstations. This allows workpieces to be joined or pressed with a high precision of just a few micrometers. Continuous quality control is already integrated into the aiPRESS through force-path monitoring.

Components can thus be classified not only into good and bad parts but even into different quality levels. To connect to the customer's system landscape, the series features several standardized software and I/O interfaces. The press can be further adapted using various special functions.

How can tiny components, for example in the watch industry, medical and pharmaceutical sectors, microsystems, or precision engineering, be automated to move quickly and precisely? To this end, IEF-Werner showcases the miniSPIN series at automatica. The operator receives a compact and highly dynamic handling solution for components weighing up to 100 grams and a total cycle time of about half a second. Depending on the application, the series can be used as a standalone solution or combined with linear units.

In addition, IEF-Werner presents its extensive range of components for handling technology, which can be adapted to individual applications. This includes, among others, the manual adjustment unit domiLINE as well as rotary tables, spindle and cantilever axes, direct and timing belt drives of various sizes.

The roboSTACK Flex: The palletizing system was specifically developed for the integration of a robot and operates 100 percent electrically. Image: IEF-Werner GmbH

The palletizing robot roboSTACK Flex can be seen digitally via video. The palletizing system is based on the modular and compact palletizer varioSTACK. Instead of standard linear handling as in varioSTACK, the roboSTACK was specifically developed for the integration of a robot, and the frame of the palletizer has been reinforced accordingly. In the Flex version, IEF-Werner equips the system with variable feed conveyors and electrically controllable lifting forks – completely eliminating the need for compressed air. This allows the system to flexibly and 100 percent electrically process different tray sizes.
