Gülsüm Üsümez (37) has been working at the globally active Sandvik Group, which also includes Seco, since 2019, and at Seco since 2021. Most recently, she was responsible as Regional Manager Global Development Accounts Europe for collaboration with European major customers.
She holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig. Additionally, she earned her doctorate at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern in collaboration with the University of California in Davis in the field of Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Product-Service Systems with a focus on sustainability.
Gülsüm Üsümez has set herself the goal in her new position as Managing Director to make Seco more present in the Swiss market, strengthen collaboration with customers, and expand strategic partnerships with selected machine manufacturers: 'Seco should be the avant-garde, the pioneer, in the field of machining in the Swiss market. With a dedicated team and pioneering end-to-end approaches, we offer users tailored solutions that support their innovative capabilities.'
