Sodick presents a selection of erosion machines at this year's Moulding Expo in Stuttgart, including the latest ALC600P iGroove+ with 8-axis simultaneous control and the AL60G+ series with automation from EROWA.
The Moulding Expo has established itself as a significant event that offers professionals from the tool, model, and mold making industries the opportunity to exchange insights on the latest developments and technologies. This year, Sodick is showcasing powerful EDM solutions on nearly 100 square meters of exhibition space. Industry visitors can experience the latest erosion machines and automation solutions from the Japanese machine manufacturer up close.
Salvatore Cocco, Vice President of Sodick Deutschland GmbH, emphasizes: 'The Moulding Expo is an important platform for us to present our latest technologies in wire and sinker erosion to an international audience. Especially in the field of erosion machines, accuracy, efficiency, and automation play a crucial role. Our current models set benchmarks and provide our customers in tool and mold making with significant advantages in daily production.'
The combination of innovative machines, automation solutions, and a clear focus on sustainability makes Sodick an indispensable partner for companies aiming for the highest precision in modern manufacturing. This is demonstrated by the EDM specialist at the trade fair booth with the ALC600P iGroove+ featuring 8-axis simultaneous control and the AL60G+ series in conjunction with the EROWA ERC80 automation solution. Both machines also stand out for their improved user-friendliness and a highly efficient energy-saving manager.
Reduced wire consumption, better surface quality, positioning accuracy of 1 µ
The ALC600P iGroove+ with its patented iGroove technology sets a new standard in the field of wire erosion machines. The wire is continuously rotated during the finishing process, resulting in significantly better surface quality and geometric precision.
All Sodick +-series machines are standardly equipped with a newly developed energy-saving management system and highly efficient, electronically controlled energy-saving pumps to maximize their customers' competitiveness.
Thanks to the patented iGroove technology in the ALC series, Sodick customers can save approximately 30% on erosion wire.
Additionally, the quality of the machine is a major topic, where Sodick can impress with typical premium machine construction, such as the installed linear motors and ceramic components.
The ALC-P series from Sodick has a positioning accuracy of 1 µ, a temperature-controlled table, and is equipped with advanced temperature compensation sensors.
The topic of unmanned production remains highly relevant, where Sodick offers customers a highly flexible and broad range of automation solutions: from simple plug & play cell solutions to articulated arm or line automation.
'The iGroove technology sets a new benchmark in wire erosion technology,' explains Salvatore Cocco. 'By rotating the wire during processing, we can significantly improve surface quality and geometric accuracy while simultaneously reducing wire consumption. This is not only a great advantage from an economic perspective but also a step towards greater sustainability in production.'
'Our automation solutions go beyond simple robot integration,' explains Salvatore Cocco. 'Thanks to the flexible and scalable design, we can offer customized automation solutions suitable for both series production and single-part manufacturing.'
