HERMLE AG has revised the robotic system RS 2 and improved it in almost all areas. With the GEN2 version of the RS 2, Hermle has managed to further optimize the automation of their machining centers.

The business development of the machine factory Berthold HERMLE AG was, as expected, declining in the first quarter of 2025 due to the weak economy in the machine tool industry.

HERMLE has further developed the robot system RS 2. With the RS 2 robot system in GEN2 version, HERMLE AG is taking automation to a new level.

After a decline in order intake, sales, and results in 2024, the company also forecasts significant sales and earnings losses for 2025.

At the traditional in-house exhibition from May 13 to 16, 2025, the machine factory Berthold HERMLE AG will showcase the next generation of 5-axis machining centers and automation solutions. A highlight will be the RS 2 GEN2 robotic system in Gosheim.

Franz-Xaver Bernhard will end his role as Sales Executive at HERMLE AG by the end of the year and will hand over to his successor Kai Bacher, who will take over on January 1, 2026.
