The system includes standard clamping holders as well as customer-specific cutting insert profiles for different workpiece contours. Users can manufacture wide form geometries in a single operation with the system. The extension is particularly suitable for components with complex groove profiles and high requirements for process reliability. For the new variant, Horn developed a clamping holder with a clamping jaw and wedge clamping.

The tools are available in right and left versions in a shank size of 25 x 25 mm. This specifically complements Horn's existing system 315 for wide form grooves and expands the application range in turning operations. For the variant with a 20 mm cutting width, Horn relies on a modified clamping jaw with M6 clamping screw as well as new concepts with wedge clamping. The wedge clamping is based on an existing clamping element and allows the transfer of the clamping concept to larger cutting widths. At the same time, Horn optimized the chip space and developed adapted clamping holder geometries for stable machining processes.
