The two-edged system allows a maximum grooving depth of 33 mm. Thus, diameters up to 65 mm can be safely and economically grooved. The combination of high grooving depths, stable clamping, powerful chip formation geometry, and internal cooling results in an attractive price-performance ratio.

The cutting inserts are available in cutting widths of 2 mm and 3 mm. The corner radii are 0.2 mm and 0.3 mm, respectively. The sintered geometry EN ensures a reliable chip removal process. Depending on the material to be machined, the cutting inserts are available in grades AS45 and IG65. Stable clamping is provided by square shank holders in sizes 20 mm x 20 mm and 25 mm x 25 mm. Additionally, Horn also offers cassettes for the modular grooving system and reinforced grooving blades. All variants are equipped with internal coolant supply.
