The new PKD milling program from Paul Horn GmbH offers an indexable head milling system for economical machining of aluminum, specifically designed for cycle time-oriented and universal applications with the DM 50 series.

The system proves to be a well-thought-out solution in terms of wear, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. The main wear zone of the indexable head and the associated face cutting edges can be replaced – including an individually replaceable intermediate sleeve that allows for different cutting heights. Thus, the system offers a tool solution that can be flexibly adjusted to each application case while focusing on follow-up and service costs. Due to its high flexibility, the tool system can be quickly adapted to different corner radii and corner chamfers with the desired cutting height. The combination of face and peripheral cutting edges in a 2:1 ratio is tailored to the different application needs and milling technologies. The position-accurate exchange principle ensures gap-free milling results. The axis-angle-focused design enables smooth cuts and high surface qualities.
The indexable head milling cutters complete the wide range of standard and special tools in the HORN portfolio of high-hardness cutting materials, making the tool manufacturer an important partner in the field of PKD tools.
