

The EMO (September 22 to 26, Hannover) will once again serve as a grand stage for cutting technology. In Hall 4 at Stand A08, ISCAR will showcase highlights and innovations from its portfolio at the world's leading trade fair for production technology. The focus will be on clever and economical solutions for cutting from the LOGIQUICK campaign.
As part of its new LOGIQUICK campaign, ISCAR has developed a whole range of innovative tools for turning, parting and grooving, drilling, and milling.
At EMO, the manufacturer presents the highlights under the label 'GO4GOLD'.
The six-edged QUICKTURN for fast multidirectional face and profile turning features an extremely stable clamping system. It ensures a secure fit of the insert and allows for backlash-free forward and backward turning with high feed rates on the X and Y axes. Its targeted jet cooling brings the coolant directly to the cutting zone, ensuring excellent heat dissipation and excellent chip control.
ISCAR's new all-round system QUICKPENTA offers the five-edged cutting insert a secure fit and very high stability thanks to the Safe-Lock clamping. Users benefit from high process reliability and top surface quality in grooving, turning, backward turning, and thread turning.
Two different geometries on an indexable insert make ISCAR's QUICKDMILL the Swiss army knife of milling. It is suitable for a wide range of milling operations. The user can efficiently and significantly faster than with other methods create pockets, perform plunge and slot milling, as well as drilling.
ISCAR's three-edged interchangeable head drilling system QUICK3CHAM allows for enlarging existing holes, even if they are eccentrically positioned, thanks to the new F3B flat drill head design. The geometry of the main cutting edge with ground chip deflector produces very small chip segments. The secondary cutting edge with wiper ensures optimal hole geometry and very good surface quality.
Drilling tools for all requirements

In addition to the QUICK3CHAM, ISCAR will bring more highlights from its extensive drilling program to EMO. Visitors can get an impression of ISCAR's SUMOCHAM line. The interchangeable head drilling system is suitable for all applications thanks to the wide range of drill head variants, diameters from four to 25.9 millimeters, and shank lengths from 1.5 to 12xD. Users benefit from efficient and safe processes, user-friendliness, and short setup times.
For even more flexibility, ISCAR now offers the SUMOCHAM family with MULTI-MASTER interface. Additionally, ISCAR has developed a SUMOCHAM drill specifically designed for machining steel beams – with a reinforced drill body and optimized drill head geometry.
Whether hollow or injection valves, distributor blocks, or crankshafts – deep holes are in demand in manufacturing, and ISCAR's GUNDRILL single-lip deep hole drills come into play. At the trade fair stand, visitors can learn about the different designs of the tools. The solid carbide single-lip drills from the SolidDeep series feature a highly rigid shank for low hole deviation and high process reliability in mass production.
The brazed BrazeDeep deep hole drills are more cost-effective and cover a larger diameter range. For even more economical and faster processes, the TriDeep deep hole drills are designed with indexable inserts. No matter how different the drills are – all three enable deep drilling of high quality.
Efficient internal turning

Also on display in Hannover is the new PICCOJET cutting insert. Thanks to double cooling, it offers longer tool life and allows for efficient chip removal during turning, grooving, thread cutting, chamfering, profile turning, and axial grooving. In addition to the lateral coolant supply, the PICCOJET features an additional coolant through-hole to the cutting edge. This duo brings the coolant directly to the cutting zone and optimally dissipates the generated heat. This protects the cutting edge, ensures process reliability, increases tool life, and improves surface quality and chip control.
