The mechatronic centric gripper EZU from SCHUNK simplifies the flexible loading and unloading of cylindrical workpieces – reliably, efficiently, and future-proof. The well-thought-out concept also convinced the jury of the German Innovation Award 2025.

Smart and quickly integrated
The EZU is ideally suited for handling cylindrical and eccentrically positioned workpieces – even with a large variety of parts. Its robust design makes it a reliable partner in demanding production environments, such as in flexible machine loading. Thanks to many adjustment options, e.g., variable stroke and adjustable gripping force, it adapts effortlessly to different requirements. With the 'StrongGrip' function, it additionally offers a powerful option for particularly challenging gripping tasks. Commissioning, monitoring, and adjustment are conveniently done via the digital SCHUNK Control Center. Moreover, the EZU is upgradeable and can expand its range of functions. “Being awarded the German Innovation Award makes us proud and shows that we are on the right track with our smart concepts,” says Herbrik. Through easy integration, the high energy efficiency of the electric drive, and its process reliability, it contributes to increasing productivity potential.
