The Sandvik Coromant TechDays 2025, held from March 18 to 20 under the motto 'Come with a challenge, leave with a solution and reach the level of Manufacturing Wellness' at the Sandvik Coromant Center in Renningen, were a resounding success with around 650 participants. Visitors took the opportunity to learn about current trends and innovations and to exchange ideas with numerous experts and industry insiders.

This year, the TechDays also offered a diverse program with different perspectives. Live demonstrations showcased innovative machining solutions from Sandvik Coromant and its partners in action. Among other things, the recently introduced tools CoroDrill DE10, a modular drill for high-volume machining in all materials, and CoroDrill Dura 462, a new multipurpose drill series for multi-material applications, were demonstrated. Presentations highlighted relevant topics such as modern manufacturing and automation solutions, digitalization strategies, or feasibility studies, for example, for power skiving.

In addition, specific engineering projects could be discussed together to show how companies can benefit from collaborations and individual solutions. According to Stefan Knecht, Global Automotive Manager Engineering Projects: 'Discovering tailored and innovative solutions for manufacturing processes is a unique opportunity that the TechDays 2025 offer.

With the state-of-the-art equipment of new machines, we can significantly increase manufacturing productivity and efficiency in joint engineering projects. With our engineering experts on-site, we proactively support our customers with structured methods and the right know-how at the right time.'

A special highlight this year was also the involvement of partner companies, which greatly expanded the event offerings. Topics such as CAM programming and simulation could be explored in depth, and specialists in aluminum processing and other external manufacturing experts were available for discussions. This enabled participants to make valuable contacts for future collaborations.

Many visitors highlighted the high practical relevance of the solutions presented and the opportunity for direct contact with the experts: 'This was my first time attending the TechDays. The reason for my visit was a joint project between MAN and Scania, a crankshaft. The invitation to the TechDays came due to our close cooperation. I didn't have to think long about being here, as I have learned to greatly appreciate the know-how and willingness to optimize from Sandvik Coromant over time,' explained Julian Scheer, Technology and Tool Manager at MAN Truck & Bus SE.

And Stefan Rauh, Application Engineer at Liebherr-Hydraulic Excavators GmbH, emphasized: 'The TechDays were very interesting and offered many good topics that can help us move forward. The tour through the manufacturing was impressive. Overall, it was a very successful event, and I am already looking forward to being there next time.'

The positive feedback from participants underscores the success of the TechDays 2025: 'The TechDays 2025 at the Sandvik Coromant Centre in Renningen were a fantastic opportunity to meet our customers and partners, all of whom share a passion for the manufacturing industry. It is the perfect event to support our customers in achieving a higher level of Manufacturing Wellness. This is only possible when we bring together people, knowledge, and technology to collaborate across the entire manufacturing value chain,' summarizes David Harbon, General Manager Sales Area North Central Europe.

Following the TechDays 2025, Sandvik Coromant will hold its annual partner conference to deepen collaboration with the participants of the TechDays 2025 and all other partners and to jointly shape the future of the manufacturing industry with new solutions and services.
